Doctor Craig Pawlowski, MD

"Is there a doctor in the house?..."

As of May 12th, 2001 you know the answer is YES!

Mom and I tripped to Indy to catch the awards banquet honoring the graduates and presenting their assignments. Craig MADE THE LIST and is on his way to a pediatric residency at Riley Children's Hospital in Indianapolis

I'll grant it is not as clear as it might be, but here is the listing for Craig Martin Pawlowski, MD in Pediatrics.

Finally, in the way of documentation, here is the graduation program. We checked and he was listed there as well.

Take a look at that "WE DID IT" look on the face of the other member of this deadly duo, Stephanie. This shot was taken right after the ceremony. It was one of those moments you never want to end. So much effort and work, and now the degree is in hand. Doctor & Mrs. Craig Pawlowski. Nice ring to it!

I am not going to try to express how very proud a moment this was for us. Having watched Craig's efforts while getting his undergraduate degree in Microbiology. And then his two years in Tonga with the Peace Corps, the last with his sweety and wife helping. And finally earning his Master's Degree in microbiology while working for acceptance to IU Med School...The Best in the Midwest.

The thrill of acceptance and then the MAJOR effort of completing that commitment, successfully. That smile of accomplishment on Craig's face is WELL EARNED!

Craig's sister Lisa and Allie were at the ceremony to cheer Craig on. Looks like Allie is checking out Craig's credentials. "Yep he'll do, Uncle Doc I have this pain here in my baby body..."

An after graduation gathering was held at Craig and Steph's new house in western Indianapolis.

Brother Kevin and his lovely wife Lisa made it in and posed with Uncle Joe. Kev is hanging on to Kyle while Lisa rests a hand on our Cat. Noticed an Adam was looking on wondering what this was all about.

Adam got in a picture of his own, held by his mom Lora, who made the trip in from Arizona to help Craig with his celebrating.

They had to pose with that dashing devil, Uncle Joe as well.

Look who made it in all the way from Detroit!! Oh wait, Indy during time trials for the 500, I understand Dick! Two GOOD LOOKING teenage daughters guys, good luck!

Looks like the "pose with Uncle Joe" show! Here Scott grabs his chance. Missed getting pics of Peggy and the many others that made the scene. Sorry.

Events like this happen only once in a LIFETIME for most folks, but with the spectacular kids we have, it seems like the fun never ends. Lisa will defend her Ph.D thesis this summer to become the SECOND doctor in this family, and we will be making the big move to Arizona this fall to join daughter Lora, son Chris and their families. How is that for a FULL YEAR!
