Nicholas A. Pawlowski

Scholar...Author...Thespian...Athlete

This was a big year for Nick. Made the move to the upper grades at Moon Valley High School and a busy schedule that included the JV track team. Grandmom and I got to catch a number of the meets and saw Nick compete in the 100, 200, 100X4 Relays and 200X4 Relays. Awesome!

Activities...how about track mentioned above, guitar and lead singer in his band, while still keeping up with his skateboard trickery, wake boarding and staying a top scholar.

As a carry over check out Nick's participation in our Whitewater adventure.

Needed to share a couple of Nick shots from the Grandma's Fridge door. Nick has grown into a hunk at 6' 4"ish. Is it true they call you the "chick magnet" at school Nick? Heard that somewhere...
Took longer than it should have, but here are some shots of the water skimming Nick at Lake Powell two summers ago. Chris, Jodi, Nick and Kaity spend a week or so on a houseboat on Lake Powell every year in intense ski and watersport activities. Mom and I were going to share some time with them that year, but we got a BAD case of the busy so never had a chance to see all the fun first hand.
The beauty of Lake Powell and the almost unbelievable scenery there, comes through loud and clear in these pictures. Sure looks like he is having fun.
In early 1998 Nick's poem, "The Search for the Lost Dutchman Mine" took first place in his school district's poetry contest. I have linked to a copy as it is WELL worth reading as I feel it is WELL done. Of course this is a biased grandfather's opinion but judge for yourself. Over the holidays we also received an OUTSTANDING short, short story titled "A Fool In Paradise". I have included a link to it as well, as I am sure you would enjoy it as much as I did. He also wrote an excellent short novel titled, "A Tale of Two Knights" which is fun reading but a little long to be reproduced here. Watch for it at your local book store?
